Carlotta Zauli begins her fourth season as part of the CSUMB coaching staff, with her primary responsibilities working with the outfielders and hitters. She also works camps and clinics.
Zauli helped direct the Otters to its best conference finish in program history in 2010, a 25-11 record to win the regular season title. Additionally, the Otters were one of the four CCAA teams to earn bid to the post season and picked up CSUMB’s first regional victory, an 8-0 shutout over Hawaii Hilo.
In 2009 the team continued to build on their success, bringing home the department’s first CCAA Championship Banner by winning the conference tournament.
Zauli has played for the Softball Club Forli’ in Italy since 1995. She has led the team to five Italian Cups, three European Cups, three European League Championships and three Italian Championships. The team has made 12 consecutive playoff appearances.
As a member for the Italian National Team from 2004 to 2007, Zauli participated in the World Championship in Beijing, the European Championship in Holland and the Olympic Qualifier in Italy.
Zauli graduated in Physical Therapy at the Universita’ degli Studi di Bologna in 2005 and attended the Master in Manual Therapy in 2007 at the Universita’ di Padova.
Zauli resides half the year in Marina and Forli, Italy during the off-season.
