Biography
2019 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
- Made 9 appearances and 1 start as a sophomore.
- 1st collegiate start came against Dominguez Hills (Feb. 23).
- Limited the Toros to 1 run in 3 1/3 IP in that start.
- Fanned a season–high 4 in 3 IP of relief at UCSD (Feb. 16).
2018 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
- Made 8 appearances, all in relief, as a freshman.
- Did not allow a run in 6 appearances.
- Did not allow an earned run in 7 appearances.
- Fanned at least 1 batter in all 8 appearances.
- Season–high 3 strikeouts came in 2 2/3 innings of relief versus Academy of Art (Feb. 18).
HIGH SCHOOL
- Named the 2017 Marin County Athletic League Pitcher of the Year.
- Both Team MVP and San Rafael High School Athlete of the Year as a senior.
- 4–time All–MCAL selection.
- Started all 25 games for San Rafael in 2017, posting 12 wins and a 0.94 ERA.
- Fanned 216 batters in 157 IP.
- Fanned 115 batters in 122 1/3 IP as a junior in 2016.
- Threw a no–hitter with 9 Ks in a win over St. Patrick–St. Vincent (Mar. 7).
- Was the Bulldogs’ 2nd leading hitter and hit their only HR of the season (Apr. 21 at Terra Linda).
- Played travel ball with the Cal Nuggets.
- Qualified for PGF Premier Nationals in 2015, ’16 and ’17.
- Also played volleyball as a prep athlete.
PERSONAL
- Is majoring in psychology at CSUMB.
- Career goal is to become a therapist or psychologist.
- A 4–time CIF North Coast Section Scholar–Athlete Award winner.
- Won the SRHS Alumni Association and the SRHS Miller Memorial scholarships.
- Stand Up 2 Cancer volunteer.
- Parents are Tina and Ben Bauer.
