2010 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Sam Campanelli returns as the incumbent starter in goal for CSUMB after making 15 starts as a junior…led the Otters with 79 saves and a 2.46 goals against average…made five saves in a 1–0 shutout of San Francisco State (Oct. 15)…matched his season high of eight saves three times, the last at Cal State San Bernardino (Oct. 10).

2009 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Sam redshirted the 2009 season.

2008 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Sam appeared in seven matches and started three as a sophomore…posted a 2.57 goals against average…came off the bench to lead the Otters to a 2–2 tie at Cal Poly Pomona (Oct. 3)…made a season–high six saves in 45 minutes off the bench at Western Washington (Aug. 30)…matched that total in a start at Cal State San Bernardino (Oct. 5)…made five saves in just 15 minutes versus Cal State Dominguez Hills (Sept. 12).

2007 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Sam dipped his feet in the collegiate soccer waters by making four reserve appearances as a freshman…posted a 1.60 GAA…made his first collegiate appearance versus Sonoma State (Sept. 23)…first collegiate win came in a 3–1 victory over Hawaii–Hilo (Oct. 16)…pitched 26 minutes of shutout soccer to help the Otters preserve a 5–4 win over Cal State San Bernardino (Oct. 12).

Cal State Fullerton
Attended Cal State Fullerton, but did not play soccer for the Titans.

High School
Sam was a three–year starter and two–time team captain for the Bulldogs of Highland High School…played travel ball with several clubs, finishing with Santa Clara United Barcelona…also competed in cross country and volleyball at HHS, earning scholar–athlete recognition in both sports…once served a school–record 11 consecutive aces in volleyball.

Personal
Sam is majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science…lists nursing school as his career plan after graduation… graduated as Valedictorian at Highland High, maintained a 4.0+ GPA all four years to graduate in top five percent of class…was a California Scholarship Federation Gold Seal bearer…son of Sam and Laura Campanelli …has one sister, Susan.
