Pana Vasquez should add some punch to the Otter strike force after making 28 appearances (with four starts) over parts of three seasons for NCAA Division I power scored his first collegiate goal at No. 16 Tulsa (Oct. 21, 2009)…registered his first collegiate assist at South Carolina (Oct. 14, 2009)…helped the Mustangs win the C–USA title and advance to the NCAA Elite eight in 2010.

High School
Pana was a three–year letterwinner at Cypress Falls High School in Houston…led the Golden Eagles to district championships in 2005 and 2006…first team All–District in 2007 and a two–time All–District second team selection…selected to the 2007 All–Greater Houston team…first player to be selected to the Houston Dynamo Youth Academy…Was named the 2007 Athlete to Watch by the Houston Chronicle…captain of the Region II Pool/Team from 2004–06…also participated with the South Texas state ODP team (2003–06)…played club soccer with Houstonians FC.

Pana came to CSUMB after earning his bachelor’s degree in economics with financial applications at SMU…plans a career in finance when his soccer career is finished…given name is Walberto Adonay Vasquez…enjoys listening to music, being on the computer and other…is the oldest of three children…brother, Brian, plays soccer at Mississippi College…parents are Jorge and Ana Vasquez.
