As a Junior in 2013: Played in 17 games with four starts…placed a corner kick perfect for Servando Perez to head in for a golden goal in the 96th minute in 2-1 victory at Notre Dame de Namur (9/5)…contributed to the equalizer against Cal State San Bernardino (10/6).

As a Sophomore in 2012: Continued to be an important cog in the Otter midfield, though his role changed from starter to reserve…his lone goal of 2012 came at Cal State L.A. (10/23)…assisted on Juan Montellano’s match–winner in the final second of overtime against Cal State San Bernardino (10/26)…his 22 shots were second most on the team and most among the 2013 returners…in the offseason, Julian trained with the Orange County Blue Stars of the PDL and participated in the San Jose Earthquakes combine...played for the Springfield Demize (PDL), scoring two goals and racking up an assist...was a member of the Monterey Bay Soccer League President's Cup Championship team. 

As a Freshman in 2011: Appeared in all 17 matches, making 14 starts…finished second on the team with four assists, including a pair of helpers in a 3–0 win over Humboldt State (10/16)…first career goal came in a 2–0 win over Cal State Stanislaus (9/25)…21 shots taken ranked No. 4 on the team and No. 2 among returning players.

High School: Earned All–Moore League honors three times…team MVP as a junior and senior...Moore League MVP in 2010…finished his prep career as the Lancers’ all–time assist leader…led his Cerritos Brigade club team to a pair of Cal Cup titles…also was a kicker for the LHS football team.

Personal: Son of Julian and Maria Luz Salas...majoring in kinesiology…career goal is to be a physical therapist…cousin, Gabriel Borja, played football at the University of Great Falls.
