Biography



As a Junior in 2013: Did not play.

As a Junior in 2012: Received a Medical Redshirt 

As a Sophomore in 2011: Played a key role in the Otter midfield, appearing in 13 matches and tying a career–high nine starts…scored his first collegiate goal against nationally–ranked Cal State L.A. (10/28)…played a career–high 90 minutes in a 1–0 win at Cal State San Bernardino (10/2).

As a Freshman in 2010: Appeared in all 17 matches, starting nine…notched his first two collegiate points with assists at Cal State San Bernardino (10/10) and versus Humboldt State (10/29)…put three of his eight shots on frame.

As a Freshman in 2009: Redshirted

High School: Played a limited career at Simi Valley’s Royal High School, finishing his high school time focused on club soccer…led the Highlander to an undefeated Marmonte League title in 2007…recorded six goals and 15 points as a junior before winding up his high school career with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy’s LAFC Chelsea U18s…began his club soccer career with the Simi Valley Eclipse.

Personal: Son of Scott and Irene Decker…has two siblings: Andrew and Taylor, who joined the Otter squad in 2013...majoring in kinesiology with a minor in business…plans to pursue his doctorate in kinesiology…earned the RHS academic scholar–athlete award…had the unique privilege as a 14 year old of introducing Eric Wynalda for induction into the National Soccer Hall of Fame…originally signed to play at Kansas Wesleyan out of high school.
