As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2011-12: Named Cleveland Golf/Srizon All-American Scholar…All-CCAA first team…earned CCAA All-Academic honors…participated in all 11 events with a stroke average of 74.3 in 32 rounds…tied for 4th at the Cal State East Bay Pioneer Shootout after carding a 80, 72 and 75 (227, +11)…tied for ninth at the Dennis Rose Invitational firing rounds of 72, 70 and 76 (218, +2)…recorded a top 20 finish (T19) at the NCAA Division II Men’s Central/West Regional with rounds of 71, 72 and 77 (220, +4).

As a Freshman in 2009-10: Earned CCAA All-Academic honors…competed in three events and carded a stroke average of 76.30 in seven rounds…tied for 32nd at InterWest Wildcat Classic hosted by Chico State with rounds of 78 and 74 (152, +8).
 
Amateur Competition Beyond CSUMB: Won the 2011 Monterey Bay Championships, was the runner-up in 2012…secured the first alternate spot for the U.S. Amateur for three consecutive years.
 
High School: Four-time All-League selection…qualified for regionals all four seasons…was selected Player of the Year his freshman year…Student-Athlete Scholar of the Year his senior year…served as class president his freshman year…volunteered at the Farmer Market.
 
Personal: Son of Hal and Lynda Stone…father is the president and CEO of SMI Promotional Apparel…has three older siblings, Justin, Brandi and Derek, who competed on the Otter Baseball team in 2007…majoring in business management with a minor in graphic design.
