Biography
2025-26 – Cal State Monterey Bay
- Competed in all three fall tournaments for the Otters, averaging 76.78 over nine rounds.
- Opened the season by tying for 52nd at the Chico State Wildcat Classic after carding rounds of 71, 71 and 78 for a four-over-par total of 220.
- Finished 32nd at the RCA Electric Invitational with rounds of 74, 76 and 77 for a 14-over-par total of 227.
- Competed in the Otter Invitational, placing 89th after recording rounds of 81, 84 and 79.
- Closed the fall season with a cumulative score of 691 for a 76.78 scoring average.
High School
- Qualified for and played in the 2025 Michigan Amateur.
- Was a 4-time all-conference selection.
- First team All-Illinois as a senior.
- Metro East Player of the year as a senior.
- Named the IHSAA Athlete of the Month for September 2024.
- Won a pair of conference titles.
- Led MHS to the 2024 regional title.
Personal
- Is majoring in business with a concentration in finance.
- Plans to attend law school after graduating CSUMB.
- Parents are Ryan and Amy Florek.
- Ryan was a collegiate teammate of CSUMB Head Coach Jason Owen at Southeast Missouri State
- Sister, Sophia, plays golf at Indiana State.
- Lists fly fishing and spending time on the lake amongst his leisure time activites.
