Teri Greene enters her third season as head coach of the CSUMB women’s golf team after serving two seasons as a co-head coach.
In the span of four seasons, Greene has led the Otters from a 49th national ranking to a school high ninth national ranking in 2008-09 season. The Otters also made their first postseason appearance at the 2009 NCAA West Regionals in Omaha, Neb.
Greene was named the 2008-9 NCAA Division II West Region Co-Coach of the year by the National Golf Coaches Association.
A graduate of Grand Canyon University, Greene came to CSUMB from Phoenix Arizona, where she coached the Phoenix College Women’s golf team to two national appearances. Greene’s first coaching experience came in 1999 where she coached the Men’s golf team at Phoenix Christian High School to their first State Championship.
As a player, Greene began her collegiate career at Phoenix College in 1999 where she qualified for two NJCAA national championships and earned All-American honors her sophomore year. A two time MVP, Greene received the Region I Medalist title in 1999. In 2003, Greene finished her college eligibility with Grand Canyon University.
