Biography
2017 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Competed in all 5 meets in his first season as an Otter…ran consecutive PRs to open his CSUMB career, starting with a 26:33.88 8K at the Humboldt State Invitational on the Patrick’s Point State Park course (Sept. 9)…came back with a 26:30.0 at the Coyote Challenge on the CSUSB campus course (Sept. 23)…his 33:03.30 at the NCAA West Regional on Western Oregon’s Ash Creek Preserve course ranks as the No. 13th fastest 10K in Otter history.
American River College:Joined the Otter raft after qualifying for the California JuCo State Championships in the steeplechase…finished 9th in the state in the event in 2016…helped ARC to consecutive Big 8 Conference titles in 2015 and 2016 and to the California JuCo title in 2015…top times on the track include 4:12 in the 1,500 meters, 9:36 in the steeple and 15:37 in the 5,000 meters.
High School:Team MVP as a senior at Casa Roble High School in 2013…5K high school PR was 16:59.0 at the Wildfire Invitational on the Old Mill course in Foresthill, Calif.…also hit .300 as a senior for the CRHS baseball team.
Personal:Is majoring in biology at CSUMB…earned associate’s degrees in physical mathematics and general science…graduated high school with a 3.75 GPA…lists mountain biking amongst his hobbies.
