Biography
2013 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Karson Hayden competed in all five regular season meets as well as the CCAA Championship for the Otters as a junior…by running the Baylands Park Course at the Bronco Invitational in 27:07.30…his 22:28.80 at the Hornet Invitational (Sept. 14) was a PR in the 4–mile and the No. 9 time at that distance in Otter history…posted Top 20 finishes at the Sonoma State Invitational (16th) and Crystal Springs Invitational (19th)…ran a 4:15.13 1,500 at the East Bay Spring Legacy Meet.
2012 – Cal State Monterey Bay: After missing the first two meets of the season, Hayden ran in CSUMB’s final four as a sophomore…posted a season best time of 27:06.7 over the Baylands Park 8K course at the Bronco Invitational (Oct. 13).
2011 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Hayden recorded his best freshman 8K time at the Sonoma State Invitational held at Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa, posting a 26:53.
High School: Hayden joined the Otters after a four–year varsity career for the Friars of Orange County’s Servite High School…qualified for the CIF Southern Section Division I finals as a senior…ran the 5K in 15:58 as a personal record…was also a member of the track & field team as well as soccer.
Personal: Hayden is majoring in biology at CSUMB…son of Kent and Monica Hayden…has a younger brother, Kyle.
