Biography
2015 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Jason Morris jumped right into the Otter lineup after arriving as a transfer last season, racing in six of seven meets…cracked the Otter Top 10 in the 10K with a 33:11.54 at the NCAA West Regional at Ash Creek Preserve in Salem, Ore. (Nov. 7)…top 8K time was 26:27.90 at the Stanford Invitational (Sept. 26)…top finish was 4th at the Sonoma State Invitational (Oct. 3).
American River College: Jason Morris joins the Otter raft after running for two seasons at American River College…helped the Beavers win a California JuCo state title in 2013 and finish second in 2014 as one of the team’s top seven runners…ran with fellow Otter Nathan Rossi at ARC.
High School: Morris prepped at Casa Roble High School in Orangevale, where he played four seasons of baseball in addition to his running career.
Personal: Morris is majoring in kinesiology at CSUMB…earned his AA in kinesiology at American River…eying a possible career in occupational therapy…answers to the nickname “Jas”…parents are James and Eli Morris.
