2010–11 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Troy Watkins saw significant time off the bench as a freshman, appearing in 19 games…made his first collegiate start at San Francisco State (Jan. 4)…scored a season–high eight points at Cal State Stanislaus (Jan. 21) and followed that up with a season–high seven rebounds the next night at Chico State (Jan. 22).

High School
Watkins was a two–time first team All–Big Sky League selection at Woodcrest Christian…set the Woodcrest single season scoring record with 799 points as a senior, averaging 28.5 points per game in 2009–10…scored in double figures in all 33 games…added 10.6 rebounds per game that season, leading the Royals to the Big Sky League title and the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division IV tournament…named to the All-State second team and All-CIF Southern Section Division IV first team…scored in double figures every game of his junior and senior seasons…scored 40–plus points 12 times, including a prep career high 45 in a win over Rim of the Word High School (Dec. 11, 2009).

Watkins is majoring in biology…is the son of Kevin Watkins and Regina Shelby…has an older brother, Alvin.
