Rafael Morelos should help bolster the Otter forward corps in all areas of the game after transferring from East L.A. College…was a two–time All–South Coast Conference selection for the Huskies…named the SCC Freshman of the Year in 2011 and ELAC Team MVP in 2012, when he averaged 13.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game…also led the Huskies in blocked shots as a sophomore.

High School
Morelos played just one season of high school basketball at Baldwin Park High School…proved a strong rebounder at that level as well, leading the Braves by averaging 8.2 rebounds per game as a senior…also averaged 5.5 points and 1.1 blocks per game.

Personal
Morelos has not settled on a major at CSUMB…played with his younger brother, Fernando, last season at ELAC…parents are Fernando Morelos and Tina Rivero.
