Biography
As a Junior in 2008-09: Played in 24 games…in 12 minutes off the bench in the CCAA Championship against San Bernardino, scored four points and pulled down a season-high five rebounds.
As a Sophomore in 2007-08: Lead Pierce College team with most assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks.
As a Freshman in 2006-07: Played for Pierce College
High School: Named team MVP… All-League first team selection…defensive player of the year.
Personal: Son of Brenda Grundy…has one brother, Kyle…majoring in Kinesiology.
Coach Bishop on Jones: "Kris played a limited back up role for us last year but really emerged during the tournament and will be called upon this season to continue where he left off. Kris is a tireless worker who I will look to pick up a lot of the rebounding we lost with departing seniors. He will compete for a starting job at the forward position."
