- Was a 2–time team MVP for the Raiders of Reynolds High School.
- Earned All–Mount Hood League honors after averaging 19.5 points per game as a senior in 2017.
- Played travel ball with Clutch Players.
- Led Clutch Players to the Best of Summer Spokane tournament title.

- Is majoring in social and behavioral sciences with a pre-law minor.
- Plans to attend law school when his playing career is over.

- Parents are Darryl and Jill May.
- Darryl was a 3–time basketball letterwinner at Gonzaga.
