2012–13 – Cal State Monterey Bay
Emily Richard made a nine–game introduction as a junior…played a season–high 11 minutes in a win at Cal State Stanislaus (Jan. 26)…all four field goals made came from beyond the arc…first collegiate basket and rebound came in the opening day win at Notre Dame de Namur (Nov. 16).

2011–12 – Foothill College
Richard joined the Otter raft after helping the powerful Foothill College program to a Coast Conference title, the No. 1 seed in the California Junior College north bracket and a berth in the State Championship game…averaged 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as a sophomore…led a balanced Owl attack with 10 points in the state semifinal win over Ventura College.

2009–10 – Santa Clara University
Richard gained valuable NCAA Division I experience by playing her freshman season at Santa Clara…made 12 appearance and one start for the Broncos (vs. South Dakota, Dec. 6)…scored in five of her 12 appearances, including a season–high four points against Cal State Bakersfield (Dec. 11)…nabbed her only steal and played a season–high 28 minutes in that game…pulled down a season–high six rebounds against UC Davis (Dec. 3).

High School
Richard prepped at Carlmont High School where she was a three–year starter for the Scots…earned Peninsula Athletic League South MVP honors while leading CHS to the PAL title…a San Mateo Daily Journal All–County pick in 2009…also a San Francisco Chronicle and ESPN Rise All–Bay Area pick…helped the Scots win the CIF Central Section Division I title in 2007.

Personal
Richard is majoring in human communications at CSUMB…was a scholar–athlete award winner at Foothill…earned CCAA All–Academic team honors as a junior…worked as an outdoor education instructor at Yosemite National Park…parents are Candy and George Richard.
