Biography

2026 – Cal State Monterey Bay
  • All-CCAA Honorable Mention.
  • CSC Academic All-District.
  • Appeared in 55 games with 52 starts, serving as a consistent contributor in the Otters' lineup.
  • Batted .307 with 50 hits, including 10 doubles, three triples and four home runs.
  • Drove in 22 runs while scoring 36 times and posting a .479 slugging percentage.
  • Finished with an .856 OPS, combining a .479 slugging percentage with a .377 on-base percentage.
  • Drew 18 walks and struck out just 13 times in 163 at-bats.
  • Added nine stolen bases in 11 attempts.
  • Opened the season with hits in five of her first seven games, including a three-hit performance against Biola and a home run against Western New Mexico.
  • Recorded three multi-hit games during the Cactus Classic, highlighted by a 2-for-2 effort with two RBI against St. Martin's and a two-hit game against Biola.
  • Turned in her best series of the season against Cal St. Dom. Hills, batting .600 (6-for-10) with two doubles, a home run, five RBI and six runs scored over four games.
  • Added a pair of multi-hit games against Cal State East Bay, including a two-hit outing with a triple.
  • Homered against Cal Poly Humboldt and collected a pair of doubles in the series finale.
  • Posted multi-hit performances against Vanguard, Nebraska-Kearney, Azusa Pacific, Biola, St. Martin's, Cal St. Dom. Hills, Cal State East Bay, Cal Poly Humboldt and San Fran. State.
  • Finished the season with hits in two of her final three postseason games, including a double against Cal St. San Marcos in the NCAA West Regional.
2024 – Cal State Monterey Bay
  • Started 19 of her 26 appearances in right field.
  • Fanned just four times in 50 ABs.
  • First collegiate multi-hit games (2) came against Chico State (Mar. 29) and Cal State San Bernardino (Apr. 19).
  • First collegiate extra-base hit was a 2-run 2B in a win over Cal Poly Humboldt (Feb. 16).
2023 – Cal State Monterey Bay
  • Made 20 appearances and nine starts as a true freshman.
  • Hit .310 with nine singles in 29 ABs.
  • First collegiate hit and run came in a win at Cal State East Bay (Mar. 4).
  • Drove in her first two RBI with a single against Simon Fraser (Apr. 1).
  • Handled all eight chances in the field without an error.
High School
  • A 4–time All–Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League pick.
  • Led the Knights to the 2022 SCCAL Championship.
  • Best statistical season was 2021 when she led SHS in hits, home runs and RBI.
  • Played travel ball with CCA, Storm, Suncats and Warrior Academy.
  • Also played volleyball as a prep athlete.

  • Parents are Amelia and Bernie Escalante.
  • Amelia (White) was an NCAA Division I tennis All–American and is in the UC Santa Barbara Hall of Fame.
  • Bernie is in the Santa Cruz High School Hall of Fame and played baseball professionally in Europe.
