Coley Apsay could make an immediate impart both on and off the court as a freshman after a stellar prep career at Canyon High School…The Signal’s Santa Clarita Valley Player of the Year averaged 18.1 points and 3.0 assists as a senior, shooting 43 percent from beyond the arc and 83 percent from the line…a two–time All–CIF Southern Section Division 2AA selection and as well as L.A. Daily News All–Area…after earning varsity Newcomer of the Year honors as a freshman in 2009, he went on to become a three–time team MVP and two–time team captain for the Cowboys…Foothill League Player of the Year as a senior…also was a standout football player at Canyon, twice earning first team All–Foothill League honors…played travel ball with SCV Lightning, L.A. Rockfish and Double Pump Elite.

Personal
Coley will major in sociology and minor in kinesiology at CSUMB…career goal is to be a well–respected teacher and coach…was an outstanding student in high school, earning induction into the National Honor Society…earned CHS Academic Award with a 3.8 grade point average…engaged in a variety of community service efforts including Bridges To Ability (bridgestoability.org), Yes I Can and Safe Rides.
