Nick Racklin was named the new assistant men’s basketball coach at Cal State Monterey Bay on August 18, 2008.
For the past two years Racklin has worked with University of California, Irvine as the assistant men’s basketball coach. His duties included scouting opponents and youth summer camps coordinator. In the middle of all this, Racklin earned a masters degree at Concordia University, Irvine in coaching and athletic administration.
Before his time at UC Irvine, Racklin coached junior varsity and varsity assistant at Woodbridge High School. The varsity team earned to league titles and made the quarterfinals of the CIF championships.
While finishing his bachelors in communications at UC Davis, Rocklin served as head junior varsity coach and varsity assistant coach at Mira Loma High School in Sacramento, Calif.
Racklin has coached numerous college camps, including Long Beach State, USC, University of Texas and UCLA.
