Nate Geiser is starting his fourth year as the Head Assistant coach of the CSUMB Men’s Basketball program. Nate’s responsibilities include recruiting, advance scouting, travel operations and academic advising.
Nate played collegiately for Northern Arizona University during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. The Lumberjacks advanced to the Big Sky Conference Championship game both seasons. Nate made 61 appearances and 40 starts during his collegiate career. One of the top long–range shooters in Lumberjack history, he set a Big Sky Conference record by knocking down 11 consecutive 3–pointers from Dec. 19–30, 2006.
A 2008 NAU graduate with a B.S. in advertising and a minor in public relations, Nate excelled in the classroom. He was a two–time Big Sky All–Academic selection and a 2008 CoSIDA Academic All–America nominee.
The Tonkawa, Okla. native began his coaching career as an assistant coach while doubling as the Director of the Wellness Center and Student Activities Coordinator at Northern Oklahoma College. Nate came to CSUMB prior to the 2013-14 season, teaming up with one of his former coaches a NAU, Rob Bishop.
