Biography
2017 – Cal State Monterey Bay: Ran in all 5 races as a true freshman…began his Otter career with an 11th–place finish at the Humboldt State Invitational (Sept. 9)…that result came via a season–best 26:21.66 on the Patrick’s Point State Park 8K course.
High School: Was one of the top runners in Oregon as a star at Jesuit High School…ran 16:09.9 at the 2016 6A–2 Metro League Championships on the Tualatin Hills course for his 5K PR…that mark was good for 6th place, helping Jesuit to the league title…finished 29th at the Oregon State Championship meet to help Jesuit place 3rd…helped Jesuit place fourth at the state championship meet as a junior in 2015…track PRs include 2:09.77 in the 800 meters, 4:06.37 in the 1,500 meters and 9:07.71 in the 3,000 meters… was high school teammates with Otter sophomore Max Hite.
Personal: Is majoring in social and behavioral science at CSUMB…says finding sasquatch is his career goal…lists playing guitar and backpacking amongst his hobbies…parents are Sean and Lisa Phillips.
