Biography
As a Redshirt Junior in 2013: Started in 17 games…was part of the Otter backline…dished the ball to Jami Murray for a goal in the 1-1 tie against Cal State L.A. (9/22).
As a Redshirt Sophomore in 2012: Started in all 24 games…scored her lone goal of the season in the 2-1 victory at Dominican (9/1)…credited with two game-winning assists, setting up Korie Soares in the 1-0 victory at Cal State Dominguez Hills (9/21) and joined Regan Porteous with assisting Andrea Davis’s goal in the final 2 minutes at Cal State East Bay (11/21).
As a Sophomore in 2011: Saw action in only three games due to injury…received a medical redshirt.
As a Freshman in 2010: Made an immediate impact as a freshman, starting the first 17 matches of her collegiate career…scored her first goal in a home match versus San Francisco State (Oct. 15)…posted at least one shot in her final eight consecutive matches.
High School: Came to CSUMB following an award–winning prep career at College Park High School…named Diablo Valley League and CPHS team MVP as a senior…a three–time All–DVL honoree, winning first team honors as a junior and a senior…also team defensive MVP as a junior…earned the Falcons’ coaches award as a freshman…was co–captain of the freshman volleyball team in 2006…played club soccer for the Heritage Strikers…was a high school teammate of Otter Kelly Piol.
Personal: Daughter of Tom and Frances Wangerin…her older brother Ari recently graduated from Chico State and was the lacrosse team captain...majoring in environmental science…won a CIF North Coast Section Scholar–Athlete Award and a Heritage Soccer Club Scholarship Award.
