2015 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
  • Lindsey Clarkson will begin her senior season already ranked among the best pitchers in Otter history.
  • Begins 2016 averaging 6.16 Ks/7 IP, the best mark in MB history.
  • Ranks No. 2 in career wins (53) and shutouts (15).
  • Ranks No. 3 in strikeouts (395), appearances (95), starts (71) CGs (46) and IP (448.2).
  • Finished 15–6 with a 3.11 ERA as a junior.
  • Her 135 strikeouts rank No. 4 on the MB single season list.
  • Recorded 4 shutouts among her 17 CGs.
  • Best outing of the season was a 2–hit shutout of UC San Diego (Mar. 1).
  • Fanned 10 or more batters 3 times.
  • Fanned a season–high 11 at Cal State East Bay (Mar. 6).

2014 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
  • Named first team All–West Region by the NFCA and West Region Pitcher of the Year by Daktronics.
  • Led the CCAA in both wins (25) and ERA (1.75) but earned only second team All–CCAA recognition.
  • Her 25 wins broke Cori Reinhardt’s school record of 23 set in 2012 (now No. 2 in MB history).
  • Her 1.75 ERA ranks No. 2 on the CSUMB single season list.
  • Her 136 strikeouts and .215 opponent batting average both rank No. 3.
  • Her 25th win of the season clinched the West Region I title for CSUMB, 2–1 over Cal Baptist (May 10).
  • Needed just 5.0 innings to strike out a career–high 12 batters in a 9–0 win over Holy Names (Mar. 10).
  • That was 1 of her CSUMB record 10 shutouts in 2014.
  • Was named NFCA National Player of the Week after earning most outstanding pitcher honors at the Tournament of Champions with this stat line: 6–0, 0.39 ERA, .129 opponent average and 3 shutouts.
  • Also is an excellent hitter who batted .400 in 40 ABs as a sophomore.
  • Hit her only HR of the season in a CCAA Tournament win over UC San Diego (May 3).
2013 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
  • Despite pitching with an injury that required offseason surgery, Clarkson enjoyed a strong freshman season.
  • Compiled team highs of 13 wins and 124 strikeouts while posting a 2.61 ERA.
  • Earned her first collegiate win in a complete game vs. Holy Names University (Feb. 3).
  • Tossed her first collegiate shutout in a 4–hitter against Western Washington (Apr. 5).
  • Fanned a season–high 10 in a 5–inning, 1–hitter against Dominican University (Mar. 22).
  • Allowed 3 or fewer hits in 4 starts…notched 4 multi–hit games including a 3–for–3 effort in the previously mentioned win over Dominican.
  • Had a season–high 4 RBIs in that win.
  • Hit her first collegiate home run in a win at Cal State San Bernardino (Mar. 16).
  • 1st collegiate hit was an RBI 2B vs. Holy Names (Feb. 3).
HIGH SCHOOL
  • Had a stellar career at CIF Central Section power Central High School in Fresno.
  • Named MaxPreps first team All–California and Fresno Bee Area Player of the Year.
  • Led the Grizzlies to the CIF Central Section Division I title in 2012.
  • Threw a perfect game and added a run–scoring single in the title game win over Clovis West.
  • In the circle, she fashioned a 19–3 record with a 0.72 ERA and 184 strikeouts in 126 innings.
  • Tossed 4 no hitters and 15 shutouts in her 22 starts as a senior.
  • Added a team–leading .458 batting average.
  • Named honorable mention All–Tri–River Athletic Conference as a sophomore and junior before earning league MVP honors as a senior.
  • Team MVP and Jenny Eller Most Inspirational Award winner as a senior.
  • Went 14–7 with a 1.31 ERA as a junior.
  • Was 11–11 with a 1.39 ERA as a sophomore.
  • Played travel ball with the Central Cal Dirt Dogs, leading her team to a third place finish at the 2008 Western Nationals.
  • Also played for the Central Cal Krush from 2010–12.
PERSONAL
  • Is majoring in kinesiology at CSUMB.
  • Career goal is to be physician’s assistant.
  • A member of the CCAA All–Academic team in 2014 and 2015.
  • Compiled a 3.8 grade point average in high school.
  • Was a 4–year member of the honor roll.
  • Parents are Vicki and Jeff Clarkson.
