2015 – Cal State Monterey Bay
• Enters the season No. 3 on the Otter career scoring list with 1,056 points.
• Needs 176 points to break Brandon Ward’s MB record of 1,231.
• Need just 20 points to pass Matt Dalhamer (1998–01) for the No. 2 spot.
• Averaged 12.0 ppg as a junior, becoming first Otter ever to average double figures in three seasons.
• Ranks in the MB career top 10 for FGM (No. 3, 385); FGA (No. 3, 881); FTA (No. 4, 354); Assists (No. 5, 160); Steals (No. 5, 81); 3PFGA (No. 7, 264); FTM (No. 7, 209); 3PFGM (No. 8, 83); Rebounds (No. 10, 301).

2014 – Cal State Monterey Bay
• Finished his sophomore season ranked No. 10 on the MB career scoring list (737 points).
• Led MB in scoring eight times while reaching double figures in 21 of 24 games.
• Poured in 31 points in an exhibition win at NCAA Division I member San Jose State (Nov. 4).
• Passed for a career–high five assists vs. eventual West Region champion Chico State (Feb. 21).
2013 – Cal State Monterey Bay
• Named CCAA Freshman of the Year after leading all conference freshman by averaging 13.4 ppg.
• His scoring average and 389 points both are Otter freshman records.
• Had consecutive 20–point games while earning all–tournament honors at the GCI Alaska Invitational.
• Had six 20–point games, including a career–high 25 points in a win over Cal State East Bay (Dec. 30), earning CCAA Player of the Week honors for his effort
• Scored in double figures in 22 of 29 games.
• Led team in scoring 12 times and in assists six times.
• Matched his career–high of eight rebounds twice.
High School
• Left Buchanan High School in Clovis as the school’s all–time leading scorer with 2,287 points.
• That mark ranks No. 6 all–time in the CIF Central Section
• Averaged 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists per game in 2012 while earning Fresno Bee All–Area honors for the second consecutive season
• Tri–River Athletic Conference MVP and a second team All–State selection by Cal–Hi Sports as a senior.
• Played travel ball with Organized Chaos, Branch West Elite, Double Pump Elite and Lakeshow Seniors.
Personal
• Fertig is majoring in business administration at CSUMB.
• Plans a career in basketball…posted a 3.6 grade point average in high school.
• Parents are Jack and Jane Fertig.
• Jack was a longtime college basketball coach, including stops at the University of Tennessee, USC and Fresno State under Jerry Tarkanian.
