2012 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
Theresa Torres will look to play a bigger role in her second season as an Otter after dipping her toes in the NCAA waters as a junior…appeared in five games, making her first collegiate start in the CCAA Tournament championship game versus UC San Diego (Apr. 29)…got her first collegiate hit in her first at bat, lacing an RBI double in a pinch–hitting appearance versus Cal State San Bernardino (Feb. 24).

SAN JOSE CITY COLLEGE
Theresa Torres will add depth to the Otter infield after spending the last two seasons at San Jose City College…hit .240 as a freshman and .275 as a sophomore for the Jaguars.

HIGH SCHOOL
Played high school ball at San Jose’s Mt. Pleasant High School where she hit .330 with 18 runs and 20 RBIs as a senior in 2009…earned first team All–Santa Teresa League honors in the process.

PERSONAL
Torres is majoring in kinesiology…plans to pursue her master’s in sports management and coach softball after graduation…earned her associate’s degree at San Jose City where she was a team captain and an NFCA All–American Scholar–Athlete as a sophomore…teammate of Otter infielder Elizabeth Foster at SJCC…lists riding her dirt bike with her brother and father and vacations to see family in New York among her favorite things…parents are Bertha and Paul Torres.
