Alyssa Rivera will battle for playing time in the Otter infield after playing her first two seasons at Riverside City College…hit .214 off the bench as a freshman in 2010 before hitting .253 in a starting role as a sophomore…got her first hit against Saddleback College (Feb. 20, 2010)…first extra base hit was a double against Ventura College (Feb. 5, 2011)…RCC best was a 3–for–3 effort in a win over Cypress College (Apr. 8, 2011)…made just two errors in 63 chances as a sophomore.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Rivera earned second team All–Citrus Belt League honors as a junior and senior at Fontana High School…hit .280 while leading the Steelers in triples (2) and home runs (1) as a senior…helped Fontana win consecutive Citrus Belt League titles in 2006 and 2007…also lettered in volleyball in high school.

Rivera is majoring kinesiology…made the dean’s list at RCC…parents are Tom and Mary Rivera.
