Irvine Valley College
After taking a few seasons off from the basketball grind, Jaron Devine returns to the hardwood to play his junior season with the Otters in 2011–12…shot 63 percent from the floor as a sophomore in 2007–08…scored a season–high 10 points against Cuyamaca College (Dec. 19, 2007)…season–high seven rebounds came against Santa Ana College (Feb. 3, 2008).
High School
Devine prepped at Pomona High School where he was team Co–MVP and an All–Valle Vista League selection as a senior in 2006…led the Red Devils to league titles in 2004 and 2005…also lettered in football and track & field at PHS…won a Valle Vista League title in the triple jump…played club ball with North Riverside Slam N Jam.
Personal
Devine is majoring in social and behavioral sciences…studied physical education at Irvine Valley…plans to pursue a master’s degree in social work when his playing career is through…was an honor roll student in high school…parents are Paula Williams and Errick Devine…will turn 24 the night the Otters host Sonoma State (Dec. 3).
