Biography

2011 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
Jamie Moon will enter her senior season looking to add to her already extensive presence in the CSUMB record book…enters 2012 as the all–time leader in runs (103), doubles (36), sacrifices (31)…also owns single season records for most fielding chances (399 in 2011) and most sacrifices (14 in 2009)…ranks among CSUMB’s career leaders in fielding chances (2nd, 896) and should finish the 2012 season as the only Otter ever to top 1,000 chances…ranks in the CSUMB top five all–time in double plays turned (2nd, 25); slugging percentage (3rd, .477); on base percentage (3rd, .383); hits (3rd, 151), at bats (3rd, 476); RBIs (3rd, 57); average (4th, .317); games played (4th, 165); home runs (4th, 12); walks (4th, 44) and fielding percentage (4th, .985)…earned second team All–CCAA honors as a junior in 2011 after leading the Otters in batting average (.377), on base percentage (.452), runs (36) and fielding (.990)…also led CSUMB with 20 multi–hit games, include four three–hit games…had a season–high seven–game hitting streak from Feb. 6–20, hitting .500 (11–for–22) over that span…had three multi–extra base hit games, including her first 2–HR effort in a win over Western Washington (Mar. 29).
 
2010 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
Moon hit .291 while starting all 53 games as a sophomore in 2010…earned second team All–CCAA honors and Daktronics second team all–region honors as a centerfielder…led the Otters with 38 runs, 15 doubles and 18 extra base hits…10 multi–hit games including three three–hit games…hit .429 (12–for–28) with three doubles and two home runs over a career–best nine–game hitting streak from Apr. 10–24…hit first collegiate triple in a win at Cal State Stanislaus (Feb. 12).
 
2009 – CAL STATE MONTEREY BAY
Moon started all 61 games as a freshman, hitting .282 with 29 runs scored…first collegiate hit was a double as part of a 3–for–3 effort in a in over Chico State at the Best of the West Tournament (Feb. 8)…had 12 multi–hit games, including a pair of three–hit efforts…first collegiate home run came in an April Fool’s Day win over Western Oregon.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Moon hit .385 while leading Torrance High School in RBIs (28), doubles (4), triples (3) and home runs (2) as a senior in 2008…earned All–Pioneer League honors while leading the Tartars to the league title and the CIF Southern Section Div. III Tournament…hit .309 with a team–leading four triples as a junior in 2007…also played soccer at THS…played her travel ball with the Artesia Panthers.
 
PERSONAL
Moon is majoring in kinesiology…career goal is to become a nurse…enjoys a variety of outdoor activities in her free time, including hiking, camping and fishing…twin sister Jessica is a pitcher for the Otters…parents are John and Christy Moon.
