CSU Monterey Bay Athletics

As a Freshman in 2009-10: CCAA Freshman of the Year...played in 26 games, starting in 15 games...scored a season-high 30 points, going 10-for 11 in free throws, against Chico State (12/1)...nabbed six assists along with 15 points and three steals at Cal State Stanislaus (1/30)...scored 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds against Cal State East Bay (2/19).

High School: Named team MVP…All-League first team selection…led Hayward High to a 21-9 record senior year…played AAU for the Oakland Rebels.

Personal: Son of Nicole Nelson…has an older brother, Kevin and a younger sister, Kamara…majoring in Business.

Coach Bishop on Berry: "As the reigning CCAA Freshman of the Year, there will be added pressure on Davion to not only be better this year but to do more to make our team better.  His competitive drive and will to win will rub off quickly on the new guys.  Everyone will be looking for big things from Davion this year and he will not disappoint."
