As a Junior in 2010:  Made 34 appearances on the mound...named to the Daktronics All-West Region second team...selected CCAA Co-Pitcher of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and All-CCAA first team...ranked in the nation in three categories: hits per game (27th, 4.91), earned run average (68th, 1.96) and shutouts (41st, 6)..led team in batters struck out with 131, ranking 4th in the CCAA...struck out 10 batters on three occasions...hit a two-run walk-off homer for a 12-3 victory over San Francisco Staet (4/2)...threw a no hitter against Hawaii Hilo (5/14).

As a Sophomore at Mt. San Antonio College in 2009: CCCAA State Champions…selected All-Conference second team…ranked sixth in conference ERA…owned a 2.62 ERA over 160.01 innings and fanned 143 batters…finished with a 19-6 record…pitched eight complete games…recorded two saves.

As a Freshman at Mt. San Antonio College in 2008: Conference and Regional Champions…State Runner-Up.

High School: Honor roll student.

Personal: Daughter of Senen and Elizabeth Ortiz…has one younger brother, Steven…majoring in Business.

Why I chose to attend CSUMB: It felt like a good fit for me.
