LOS ANGELES – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team suffered its first CCAA loss of the season, falling on the road at Cal State LA, 3-1, Friday evening at University Stadium.
The loss snapped a five-match unbeaten streak as the Otters entered their first conference road contest with back-to-back results against ranked opponents.
CSUMB opened the scoring when sophomore Ramiro Corrales, Jr., converted his fourth penalty kick of the season, beating goalkeeper Brayden McClelland in the 24th minute.
The Golden Eagles would then score twice in the span of two minutes later in the opening half and add another in the second to pull away with the 3-1 win.

Sylas Sells paced the Otters with two shots apiece.
The Otters will continue their Southern California road trip at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12.
