SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Senior goalkeeper
Jack Blickenstaff impressed in his season debut, blanking Cal State San Marcos in a scoreless draw on Thursday at The Cage.
The 6-7 keeper missed the first 10 matches of the season but came back in a big way on the road, making seven saves in the full 90 minutes of work.
The shutout against the Cougars marked the third in a row for the Otters in the series as Blickenstaff also earned the cleansheet in a 4-0 victory last season.
Both teams fired off 12 shots as the Otters move to 4-3-4 overall and 1-2-2 in CCAA play.
CSUMB will return home to host Cal State East Bay on Sunday, Oct. 20. The two teams will kickoff at 2 p.m. from Cardinale Stadium.
