MEN'S BASKETBALL NOTES at CAL STATE SAN BERNARDINO

SEASIDE, Calif. —
The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team looks to extend the best conference start in program history when it travels to meet nationally–ranked Cal State San Bernardino Thursday (Jan. 6) in Coussoulis Arena.

CSUMB (6–3 overall, 5–1 CCAA) faces its biggest test of the still young season. The Coyotes (10–1, 4–1) enter the weekend ranked No. 6 in the NABC coaches ranking and No. 13 in the D2SIDA media ranking.

The Otters are coming off an 75–74 win over San Francisco State Sunday afternoon, completing their first season sweep of the Gators sinc the 2008–09 season. The Otters won 76–64 in San Francisco on Dec. 20.

Senior guard Jordan May (Troutdale, Ore./Reynolds HS) led the way with 20 points, his second consecutive 20–plus point game. Nevertheless, the game was up for grabs until Levi Frankland (Gold Coast, Queensland, Aust.) knocked down a pull–up jumper with 2.5 seconds remaining for the game's final points.
