SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- After an offensive clinic in its first game of the season on Thursday, the Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team ran into nationally-ranked Westmont College for its first road game of the season. The Otters were unable to find their offensive rhythm in the game en route to a 2-0 loss on Saturday morning at Thorington Field.

Haley Nishimoto (Bishop O'Dowd HS) in the second half.

SAVES: Alyssa Noh -- 5

THE LAST WORD... "We went into the game today knowing that we would face an athletic and organized team. Their pressure impacted our possession in the first half and we couldn't find our rhythm. After some adjustments at half time, we were able to find more of the ball and began to find success but it was too late. Our young team gained some valuable experience that will serve us well moving forward."
-Head Coach Laura VanWart
THEY'VE GOT NEXT... Monterey Bay will remain on the road for their next game when they head to Oakland, Calif. to face Holy Names on Wednesday, September 6. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
