CHICO, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's basketball team began the night with eight players, finished with six and in–form Chico State took full advantage to take a 88–59 decision Thursday night in Acker Gym.

Chico used an 11–2 run midway through the first half to take an 29–10 lead and control of the game. CSUMB never got within 17 for the remainder of the game.

Sophomore Julien Ducree (Rancho Cucamonga HS) posted his second double–double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Fellow Sophomore Matt Bejsovec (Shingle Springs/Ponderosa HS) added his first career–double–double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

THE GAME WAS STATISTICALLY OVER WHEN… An Isaiah Ellis steal gave Chico possession with a 65–32 lead and 14:28 remaining in the second half.
