SEASIDE, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer team went on the road to Chico State Thursday to play the final game of the 2015 season. The Otters had the chance to play spoiler to the Wildcats playoff hopes, and put Chico on its heals with an early goal. However, Chico State would go on to score twice in the second half, sending the Otters off with a 2-1 loss.
Two minutes and eight seconds into the first half the Otters called who else but
Kristen Womack (Roseville, Calif./Woodcreek HS) as she scored her record ninth goal of the season to give CSUMB a 1-0 lead.
The Otters carried the lead into the second half but Chico State clawed back and scored twice in the final 45 minutes. The Wildcats got their first goal by Pooja Patel to knot the score at 1-1. In the 63rd and 89th minutes it was Lindsey Dias who put Chico ahead for good, scoring twice and boosting the Wildcats to a 3-1 win at the final horn.

Victoria Whyte (Austin, Texas/Lake Travis HS) recorded three saves to close out her freshman season.
Monterey Bay closes the book on the 2015 season with a record of 6-11-1, 3-8-1 CCAA.
