(SEASIDE, Calif.) The CSUMB women's soccer team recorded a tremendous double overtime shutout tie with CCAA North Division leader Sonoma State Sunday afternoon at the CSUMB soccer field.
Catrina Miramontes was great in goal for the Otters as she faced 30 shots and posted 7 saves in 120 minutes of shutout play. Sarah Alderson had 4 of the Otter's 7 shots on goal. The Otters had significant scoring opportunities against the Seawolves, hitting the post twice in the final ten minutes of action."
"Freshman Jessica Pardo at center-back was outstanding in her first match of the year, " said head coach Erin Roberts. "We defended very well and had our chances to score against a well established program. I'm very proud of our young team."
CSUMB (1-4-1, 1-4-1 CCAA) continue play at home this week against BYU-Hawaii on Tuesday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 pm.
