(Turlock, CA) The CSUMB Women's soccer team show improved play but fell to CSU Stanislaus 4-1 on Sunday.   Junior forward Loren Schofield scored the lone goal for the Otters.

A couple of sophomores had strong performances for the Otters as midfielder Sarah Alderson had 3 total shots and 1 shot on goal and goalkeeper Stacey Senkle recorded 6 saves for the match.

"We are a very young team and we are counting on key contributions from sophomores and freshman, " said head coach Erin Roberts. "The return of senior Stacey Michelsen will make a big difference for us defensively this week as we prepare to go on the road to play the defending conference champion UC San Diego. "

The Otters return to action this week with matches at UC San Diego Friday, Sept. 14th and at CSU Dominguez Hills Sunday, Sept.16th.
