The Tritons exploded for 11 straight runs in the first four innings of the first game. In the fifth with the run-rule looming, the Otters put three across in the 4th inning, and three more in the 5th courtesy of Ashlee Trotter's three-run homer.

The momentum did not carry over to the second game however as the Tritons (18-16, 13-7 CCAA) opened with six runs. Marisa Trujillo hit her first career homerun with 2 outs in the 7th to avoid the shutout. CSUMB (9-24, 4-18 CCAA) are off until a Friday doubleheader at San Francisco State.
