CSU Monterey Bay dropped both games of a doubleheader to San Francisco State by scores of 8-3 and 6-2. The Otters are now 8-17, 3-11 CCAA while the Gators improve to 12-14, 8-6 league.

In the first game, the Otters jumped out to a 2-0 lead and then tied it at 3 after the Gators took a 1-run lead. However, San Francisco State closed the game with five straight runs, including a 4-run 7th inning and two home runs. In the second game, CSUMB got a 1-0 lead on Megan Russo's RBI single that scored Jessica Wardle in the 3rd inning. The Gators then went on a 6-0 run in the next three innings. The Otters' best chance in the 5th was thwarted when Nicole Hartfield and Vanessa Rodrigue combined on a bases-loaded triple play.

Jessica Boyle pitched all 14 innings on the day and struck out five, all in the second game. Wardle was the leading hitter on the day with six hits in eight at-bats.
