CSU Monterey Bay dropped the first game gainst No. 14 Cal State Stanislaus 7-1 on Saturday before winning 2-1 to end the series. The Otters are now 8-15, 3-9 CCAA.

The Warriors jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead in the first two innings, including home runs in the first two at bats of the game. The Otters avoided the shut out when a Megan Russo ground-out scored Jessica Wardle in the seventh.

The Otters played their best defense of the season, holding the Warriors (17-3) to just three hits (all in the first 3 innings) and three walks in winning the finale 2-1. Megan Luna had a two-out triple in the seventh to score the winning run.
