On a rainy Sunday afternoon, CSU Monterey Bay avoided a sweep with a 4-3 win in the final game of a four game series with Cal State San Bernardino. The Otters are now 7-12, 2-6 in CCAA Play.

In the first game, the Coyotes (10-6, 4-4 CCAA) hit four home runs and held the Otters to just one hit in recording an 8-0 mercy rule win. The Otter bats woke up in the second game as they got their first run of the series when to get a 1-0 lead. That didn't last long as CSUSB scored three runs the next inning. The Otters played great defense the rest of the way and tied it with runs in the 3rd and 4th innings. In the final inning, Megan Russo hit a triple to right field and scored the winning run on an RBI single by Kristin Rasmussen. CSUSB stranded six runners in the game to have their win streak broken.
