CSU Monterey Bay lost their first two home games of the year to CSU San Bernardino by identical 2-0 scores. The Otters fall to 6-11, 1-5 in league while the Coyotes improve to 9-5, 3-3 in the CCAA.

In the first game, the Coyotes got four of their six hits in the last two innings to score both their runs and holding the Otters to only 3 singles. The Otters' best chance came in the fifth with the bases loaded but the Coyotes wouldn't let them score and CSUMB didn't have another hit in the game. In the second game, the Coyotes made a bases-loaded walk in the first inning stand up as they matched the first game by outhitting CSUMB 6-3. CSU San Bernardino added an insurance run in the top of the 7th. Jessica Boyle pitched all 14 innings and struck out a combined five batters. The series concludes Sunday at high noon at the Salinas Sports Complex.
