The game featured six home runs, including two by the Otters. After being down 8-5, CSUMB tied it from Nick Zaballos's two-run homer in the sixth and back-to-back doubles in the seventh from Gerry Rommel and Brian Trump. Unfortunately, the Tritons scored five runs in the ninth to put the game away, including two home runs. Trump finished 2-5 with 1 RBI against his old team and Troy Sanchez was 1-3 with a three-run home run. UC San Diego's Matt Cantele, one of the league's top hitters, barely missed hitting for the cycle. Cantele was 3-6 with 4 RBI, including a double, triple and home run.
