[BOX SCORE]
After starting the season 0-8 at home, CSU Monterey Bay has now won two in a row at the Otter ballpark, but it wasn't easy.
The Otters (9-21, 6-14 CCAA) rallied from a 5-0 hole to win 6-5 in ten innings and split a home-and-home weekend with San Francisco State. The Gators had their two-game win streak broken and are now 5-20, 4-12 CCAA. The Gators took a 5-0 lead when their first five batters of the fifth inning all hit safely, including a two-run jack over the center field wall by Evan Romanchuk. The Otters began the comeback in the seventh inning when designated hitter Ralls singled to drive in Brian Trump. CSUMB tied the game with a pair of two run home runs courtesy of Gerry Rommel and Nick Zaballos.
That all led up to the tenth inning. After a 1-2-3 gator inning, Rommel hit a single to the gap. Trump then ended the game with a double to the left field corner and Rommel galloped home to win the game. Trump finished 2-5 with the RBI. Lucas Allendorf struck out five in three innings of relief to get the win. The Gators outhit CSUMB 10-9 but committed three errors to CSUMB's one. Next up for CSUMB is a home series against No. 1 ranked Cal State L.A. on Friday.
