CSU Monterey Bay dropped two games in agonizing fashion to CCAA rival San Francisco State by the scores of 2-0 and 3-2.
In the first game, the Otters only managed four hits and struck out 4 times. In the second seven inning game, CSUMB (8-21, 5-14 CCAA) got an RBI double from Daniel Gomez to take an early 1-0 lead in the third. San Francisco State rallied twice and scored the eventual winning run in the 5th inning. The Otters were 1-7 batting in the last two innings and struck out three times to have the comeback thwarted. The series concludes Sunday in Seaside at high noon.
