SEASIDE, Calif. ---Cal State Monterey Bay lost 1-0 to rival Cal State Stanislaus in what was a highly competitive and physical CCAA men's soccer match Friday afternoon at the CSUMB soccer field.

Artemio Arteaga's goal just three minutes into the match proved to be the game-winner for the Warriors.  CSUMB saw multiple chances to score just miss as the Otters' defense proved strong the remainder of the match to keep CSUS within reach.  CSUMB is now 3-4-2 overall (2-4-2, CCAA) while CSUS improves to 3-8-3 (2-5-2, CCAA).

CSUMB hits the road for the Pacific Northwest and a match against #13 Seattle University on Sunday, Oct.7th and St. Martin's (Lacey, WA) on Monday, Oct. 8th.  The Otters return to Seaside for Homecoming Week as they host Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, Oct. 12th and Cal Poly Pomona on Sunday, Oct. 14th.  Kickoff is slated for 3:00 p.m. both days.
