SEASIDE, Calif.---The CSUMB women's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with UC Santa Cruz Wednesday afternoon in Seaside.

The draw moved the Otters to 2-5-2 on the season while the UC Santa Cruz saw its record go to 5-2-2.

The Slugs took an early 1-0 lead in the fifth minute of play when Danielle Mullen scored an unassisted goal.

CSUMB trailed going into halftime and finally got on the board five minutes into the second half when Sarah Alderson played a ball from Amber Spencer to even the score.

The Otters return to action on Friday when it hosts Cal State Stanislaus beginning at 12:30 p.m.
