SANTA ROSA, Calif. --- The Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team placed seventh at the Sonoma State Invitational which finished play Tuesday at the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club.

CSUMB's final round 297 and three round total of 887 put the Otters in a seventh place tie with UC San Diego.  Invitational champion Chico State finished at 849, edging host Sonoma State by two strokes.

Freshman #Scott Yeakel# was the top finisher for CSUMB in medalist play.  Yeakel carded a 1-over 73 in the final round to finish at even par and in a tie for 15th place overall.
